MARTIN VENTER
Founder and CEO of the Val de Vie Group of Companies
Martin’s extensive experience and knowledge to lead the development and professional team for the conceptualisation and the implementation of any size of property development. His qualifications include BLC (Law), LLB (UP), Hons., MBA (US) and R.E.E.S, Private Equity and Venture Capital (Harvard Business School). Martin gained experience in property development and property investment as one of the founding directors in Atterbury Property Cape (Pty) Ltd. He was awarded the ABSA Entrepreneur of the Year in 1994.
I doubt that there is any other place in Africa that is as remote and unspoilt as what we have discovered in Pembi.
MARCO VAN NIEKERK
Group CEO of Outdoor Investment Holdings
Marco comes from a strong academic background and proceeded to cut his teeth in a variety of retailing, wholesaling and distribution businesses on an international scale. His last corporate position was director of the publicly listed JD Group while simultaneously being the Chief Executive of Incredible Connection and HiFi Corp, the two dominant electronic retail businesses in South Africa. Marco’s qualifications include B. Com (UP) MBA (UP) Private Equity and Venture Capital (Harvard Business School).
To be part of a project like this, you get the feeling that maybe, just maybe, there will be somebody in a 100 years’ time who will say that this is truly significant.

As Head of Wildlife at Shamwari Private Game Reserve for more than 20 years, veterinarian Dr Johan Joubert has a wealth of experience when it comes to conservation, especially reintroducing wildlife.
There is a need for us to start taking responsibility of our environment and our actions and Pembi is simply crying out to be conserved.
