PEMBI GREEN HOME SOLUTIONS

The Pembi Green Home project spearheads a movement in conservation architecture that serves as a catalyst for sustainable community empowerment and multi-generational wildlife conservation through private custodianship.

A BLUEPRINT FOR CONSERVATION

The philosophy of the people of Mozambique posits that land was here before man and no one can therefore “own” the land. A person can only be a custodian of the land. In this spirit, the developers of Pembi veered away from the traditional perspective of ownership in favour of custodianship.

Located within the reserve, there are 45 dedicated wildlife areas for funders, each provided with a structural habitation unit. Pembi Green Homes offer a luxury architectural solution in which self-sustainable, eco-sensitive and sophisticated habitation structures are to be erected for investors to experience the unique and remote wildlife for generations to come.

DESIGNED TO PRESERVE THE NATURAL TOPOGRAPHY
Designed by Neo Dimension Architects, the architecture of the units are subservient to the topography and respect nature, while at the same time making an assertive architectural statement. The units are designed to only lightly touch nature. All structures can also be disassembled and removed or relocated in future, leaving no trace of human settlement.

Contrary to traditional architectural design principles, the units are designed to fit any topography, from a flat savannah plains site, to rocky outcrops, miombo forests, riverine settings, or a mountain retreat. Each site will be graced with panoramic views of a unique indigenous landscape.
